Geology and landscape
Galera’s landscape holds a story that began long before its settlements. Sediments from an ancient lake, movements of the earth and erosion by the river help explain the hills and ravines we see today.
This theme links the Castellón Alto visitor centre with the mines beneath the archaeological site, the valley viewpoint, the seismites and the Espejuelos gypsum kiln. Together, these five places explore the relationship between geology and local life.
