Galera Museum

The archaeological galleries trace the transformations of the territory, while the ethnographic section brings this story closer to the memories of its inhabitants. One of the most notable pieces is the well-known Galera mummy, from burial 121 at Castellón Alto. The preservation of hair, textiles and wood provides exceptional information about people who lived during the Bronze Age.
On the underground floor, housed in a former wine cellar, the tour continues with winemaking, esparto work, and the cultivation and processing of hemp. The Rincón de la Memoria recreates the kitchen-dining room of a cave dwelling from the mid-20th century. Take a look at the tools, containers and arrangement of the space. These are everyday objects, but they help us understand how much knowledge and work tasks required that we now do differently.
